Sunrise Sharks News - Sharks Bytes 032226

Happy Sunday Shark Families,

Coaches Corner:

We are half way through the second clinic. I am so proud of all the hard work being put in by all (new and returning swimmers). However, as I walk around and talk to groups I have had to ask that swimmers be respectful, quiet, and focused. Parents, please make sure you talk to your swimmer about active listening. And maybe make sure they use the bathroom before practice starts. I can't wait for this season to officially start!

Please note the following:

  • If you ONLY have a 6U swimmer, you’ll want to signup for setup or shift 1.
  • One shift per meet counts towards the five total. Multiple shifts on one meet only count for one of the required five.
  • •PLEASE signup for a shift at Time Trials. We are the only team and need to fill all positions.

    Parent Board Meeting:

    Your next Parent Board Meeting is Thursday March 26th at 6:30pm in Rusch Room 1, to the left of the gym.

    Limited Instruction March:

    We’re now in “Limited Instruction March”, this means swimmers have strict rules to follow while being in the water. Sunrise Sharks competitive stroke clinic is complaint with NCSL bylaws. If your swimmer is participating in another clinic, you are responsible for ensuring it’s within the bylaws or risk your swimmer being ineligible to swim for the 2026 season. Refunds are not offered for breaking this NCSL bylaw.

    Section 12.06.

    Permitted Stroke-And-Turn Training Programs and Swimming Lessons.

    (a) The focus of said programs or lessons is to develop stroke technique and not for building up and increasing the physical conditioning and endurance of the swimmer, and shall be limited as follows:

    (i.) Each swimmer may participate no more than 60 minutes in one day;

    (ii.) Each swimmer may participate no more than three (3) days in a week, and
